EmojiDex is operated as an independent emoji encyclopedia published at emojidex.site.

EmojiDex is a static website. We do not require accounts or collect payment information.

When you visit the site, the following may be collected automatically:

• Google Analytics (GA4) — page views, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, screen size, referral source, and general interaction events
• Cookies — small files stored by your browser or by analytics services to recognize sessions and measure traffic
• Usage statistics — aggregated data about which pages and tools are visited
• Device and browser information — such as user agent, language preference, and operating system

Features like Favorites store saved emojis in your browser's local storage on your device only. That data is not transmitted to our servers.

If you use the contact form, you voluntarily provide your name, email address, and message. Those submissions are processed by our form provider to deliver email to us.

• Understand traffic patterns and popular emoji pages
• Analyze which collections, tools, and museum content are most useful
• Understand how people use Dexy (for example first visit, discover, play, and share) through Google Analytics events — Dexy's memories stay in your browser

EmojiDex currently uses:

• Google Analytics 4 — traffic measurement. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Web3Forms — contact form delivery (only when you submit the form)
• Content delivery networks — to load open-licensed emoji artwork previews (for example jsDelivr) when you view platform comparisons

We may add other service providers in the future (for example, to measure site performance). If we do, this policy will be updated before those services go live.

Cookies and similar technologies help us understand how visitors use EmojiDex. Analytics cookies may persist across visits until they expire or you clear them.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies may limit our ability to improve the site but will not prevent you from browsing emoji pages or using tools.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data. Because EmojiDex collects limited personal information and does not operate user accounts, most requests relate to analytics or contact form submissions you sent us.

EmojiDex is a general reference site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through our contact form, please reach out so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
